Century Group was requested by one of its residential landlords to survey a failing wall and to make recommendations on how to resolve a pending H&S issue should the wall collapse. The single skinned wall was leaning out over the pavement and could have become a neussance should it have failed entirely. With a great percentage of the bricks having blown it was recommended to demolish and dispose of the wall through commercial recycling and to replace.
Century was requested to clear a perimeter boundary area that is situated between both a retail outlet and the rear of a residential area. The boundary, a steep bank covered in overgrown vegetation was often used as a shortcut cut walkway. The landlord requested for a timber fence to be installed at both the top and bottom of the bank, so to deter public use and to encourage them back to the public footpath close by. Through installing the timber fences it is intended that landlord's fear of a public liability risk too will improve.
To maintain the presentation and curb appeal of a property really starts from the outside. Century was employed to positively improve the grounds at this large property in Bournemouth. By cutting back the lawns and tending to bushes we made the environment more aesthetically pleasing for those who visited.
